harry potter is oddly gripping. despite the fact that the titular character has grown up into quite a disagreeable, angsty shouty boy. like honestly, especially in the order of the phoenix, it seemed as though harry spent his days marching stridently around school with smoke emitting from his orifices. anger management, man. and it's quite curious how the boy whatsizname that plays harry, he's grown up oddly proportioned. i was just reflecting one day on the harry's sad lack of charm when i came across the cover of the very first show, and harry was actually a rather pleasant, geekishly endearing boy.

anyway. the spun world of magic (elements of which seem to parallel lotr but nvm) is still strangely alluring. the idea of these silly kids who CAN DO MAGIC for heaven's sake complaining about doing magic is just, MAN. haha. but at the same time it wouldn't do to have a whole buncha school-loving dudes cavorting through the pages cos that'd be hatemailinducing. but dumbledore rocks man! old wise men are the best; i'm gonna be an old wiser woman when i grow up. (: grrreat, and silly harry likes to scream at him. grrr. he shouldn't have to die man! (yeah i just read halfblood after so long would you believe?) it's just wrong. but it sure makes you wanna read on. haha. i guess jkrowling's a really good suspense spinning hang people out on lines thing.

yayyy. PLUS these now come with stuff printed on the sticks! like HORSE - GALLOP AWAY and MOUSE-DO NOT BE TIMID. like fortune cookies! or those things you shake at temples, and a stick will fall out. except if i shook this the chocolity-flavored dip will slosh. :D
